“The perfect companion to a chilled glass of Sancerre. My guests haven't stopped asking where I found them."
Isabelle R.
Bougie Gougies are light, airy French cheese puffs made with imported Gruyère and Comté, fresh local eggs, and not a single preservative. They ship frozen to your door as raw dough, hand-scooped and packed per dozen by a small Seattle team.
When you're ready, they go straight from freezer to oven — golden, puffed, and filling your home with the kind of aroma that makes guests feel welcome. The outside is golden and light, the inside warm and deeply delicious. They taste as good as they smell.
Ready in under 30 minutes. Nobody needs to know how easy it was!
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Place the frozen dough straight from the freezer onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing each piece about 1½ inches apart. Put them on the middle rack, then turn the oven down to 350°F. Bake for 25-28 minutes until golden and puffed. Let them rest for 4 minutes before serving.
Keep frozen until ready to bake. Do not thaw. Do not eat raw dough.

A Love Letter to Hosting
For the woman who wants to do it all — just not necessarily cook it all.
Kristin was introduced to gougères by a dear family friend who'd lived in Paris — and knew a good thing when she saw it. Years later, when friends started requesting her recipe, she realized she was onto something. Bougie Gougies is her answer to the hosting problem she knows firsthand: how to make guests feel genuinely special without spending your whole evening in the kitchen. Every order is made by hand in Seattle by a small team that Kristin built herself — woman-owned, small-batch, and proud of it.

My “Champagne Squad” and I always include Bougie Gougie’s to our celebrations. They are so delicate and pair beautifully with champagne. The perfect high-touch accompaniment. I always have some in my freezer, ready for any celebration 🎉

You are women after my own heart! Champagne and Gougies is my favorite pairing! Thank you, Kristin
These Bougie Gougies are absolutely delicious and cook perfectly according to the directions. I served them for appetizers before a dinner and everyone was asking for the recipe🥰
Bougie Gougies are wonderful! They come beautifully packaged. When you open the box you’ll find 3 sealed bags with detailed cooking instructions attached to each. This allows you to prepare just what you need while the rest stay fresh. Kris is spot on when she talks about the aroma filling the house as they cook. So good! And they taste amazing. Airy, light and perfectly cheesy!!
Store owner replied:
Thank you. I am so happy that you loved them!
Delicious, savory and easy to bake, Bougie Gougies were a hit with my family, and now we cannot get enough of them. My garden club loved them, too, showering me with complements and wanting to know their delectable ingredients. Now I have to make more room in my freezer to keep a larger supply on hand! Thanks to Kris Middleton for making these available to us. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
came beautifully wrapped and easy to follow directions. They were absolutely delicious I would happily make them every time someone comes for a cocktail I just wish they were a little less expensive but I understand the work and ingredients that go in are the best!
Loved my Bougie Gougies! So easy to make and the perfect option for a delicious appetizer!!! Appetizers are always so time consuming and these just made my life so much easier!
I believe your kitchen is in Seattle, WA. They arrived in Puerto Rico still frozen solid. I cooked some that night for a party and it was a crowd pleaser.
Your precise directions netted the most beautifully shaped and browned gougeres! So light and after sitting even 20-30 minutes after baking, the cheese flavor subtly comes through. Delicious and elegant! With champagne….yes please!
The BG's are delicious and easy to prepare. Great convenience factor. Not sure I'll order them on a regular basis though as the price point is a little high.
Loved them! Took them as an appetizer to a Super Bowl party, and they were a hit! They were all gone in less than 15 minutes! Can’t wait to order more.
Plan for around three per person as an appetizer. A dozen serves roughly four guests, though in our experience, people always ask for more!
No — they go straight from the freezer into the oven. Do not thaw before baking, and do not eat the raw dough.
Champagne is the obvious answer. Beyond that, they work beautifully alongside a cheese board, a glass of white wine, or honestly, just good company.
Yes. Bougie Gougies are hand-scooped and packed per dozen, so you can bake as many or as few as you need and keep the rest frozen for next time.
Bougie Gougies ship frozen as raw dough via UPS 2nd Day Air, packed with dry ice. As soon as your order arrives, transfer them straight to your freezer. Do not touch the dry ice with bare hands.
